Why I blog

Why I blog, well I am just getting the hang of this blog thing, so my blogs arent that great so far, but I am just a normal mom, who works and who has struggled with weight, depression, co dependent issues and the list goes on like so many other people out there. I wanted to blog so I can share my story and maybe thru sharing my story I am able to help someone else have an " A Ha" moment and make new and better changes in their life.
I am not an expert, or trained, or certified I am just a normal persone trying to make it thru this world like everyone else the best that I can. I will omit thru this you might read about my set backs, my worries, my fails but thats good too, it shows im human and make mistakes and have real life things. I sometimes see peoples blogs like famous people or people who just whine about nothing. I tend to not have alot of faith in them or learn much because I put my guard up and stop listening. I am guilty of judgement but wait arent we all!
I have a goal list which I am going to post, cause not only am I wanting to help others with this blog I am using this to keep me accountable and this is where I need my readers to help!
1. Lose weight
2. Body build
3. Find something I love and stick with it for a year
4. Become more social in a healthy manor
5. Meet some new people
6. Find 30 mins aday for just me
7. Get out of debt
8. Teach my kids something new ( a life time change)
9. BE ME! -Stop pleasing everyone
10. Become mentally and physically healthy

Thats a big list huh! Well ok blogger friends keep me going too! I want to help you and help me! :) Can we do it yes we can! Lets rock 2012, and who knows what will 2013 will bring and I promise my blog skills will get better!

Sizes/Shapes/Views

What is a sexy size? What is a sexy shape? Who is the population that said size 0 was sexy? I was sitting at a local coffee shop the other day and I was listening to theses young men talk about how hot the waitress was and how they would take her home! Now, was this waitress pretty, yes she was however this is what our men in society are taught to act like when a lady comes into a room. I felt bad for her, I think the idea of someone making comments like that are not good. It is empowering to be pretty and its empowering to have people think you are stunning but to be " pretty to get laid" sucks! I was thinking about what our kids are programed to think is pretty and what we teach our kids how to have relationships with other people. Where I work I see it first hand all the time. Kids have no idea how to have a healthy relationship with each other and think they will grow up and have an even worse time.

Self a steam! why cant girls be princess and boys be princes! we are forced to grow up so fast and not love life and have no worries. This creates eating issue. If one is chubby and picked on, one will get bigger and bigger and eat to self sooth, or they will no eat and have another disorder. Why are we so cruel to each other why do we miss treat our own bodies like this. Why do we allow what others say effect what we do to our selves. I am just as guilty. This week was a very bad week for me, and I faced somethings in my life i never wanted to face, however I took it to the gym, This I have to say is the first time I took my issues to the gym and I went there and beat up weights I went and ran more on the treadmill. I did this instead of eating that box of dounts or binging on bad food. SO I am happy with myself trust me this mama normally would just self sooth with junk food.

We as little princess and little princes need to take some of our power back and stop allowing people to rule what we are doing. It makes me so sad when I see 9 year olds tell me how they need to look like britney spears and how they are getting boob implants! I mean really! 9, 10, 11 at those ages I had barbie dolls and played with my friends and had fun NEVER did I think about boob jobs, or tummy tucks. We have allowed our kids grow up so fast. At my sons school field trip a lil boy had his cell phone, keep in mind my son is 7, and he was looking up things on youtube that 7 year olds should not be looking up. Kids tv now are showing girls how to be sexy at 11 it just flips me out. And we wonder why we have kids hurting themselves at 12 13 14 etc.  I wish I could make a program to teach kids about healthy fitness, food and relationships! We can teach them how to say no to drugs but not how to live a positive life! How messed up is our nation!

Blessed!!!

Just want you to know you have been an inspiration since the first day i met you...we may not be close but the knowledge you have given me and always believing in me has taken myself to a new level...down 11 lbs. In 6 days...i will make mistakes,i will doubt myself...but if i try hard everyday to make little changes i can accomplish my goals without surgery...even if it takes me 2 years...going to physical therapy and have 2 fabulous drs helping me out...thank you for being you!!- Danyel

Fight the food battle

The last few weeks have been so busy I am sorry for not updating or writing. Life got the best of me and had me running in 50 directions.
Between me moving and me working extra hours I have barley seen the back of my eye lids let alone a good home cooked meal. So what a girl to do, well thankfully I can buy pre cut veggies at the local store so I can throw them into my lunch pale for work and I dont have to pack things to cut them. When we get busy it seems to be when we eat the worse. We grab the fast food and quick junk and fill our faces. I dont know about anyone else but when I get super busy I tend to eat more because I get worry I wont get time later to eat so I over eat each time I eat.
After the over eating happens so does the self blame! SO please blogger friends if you are here and you feel this way, know its ok when you fall off the weight loss band wagon. We all have things go on in our lives we need to take a lil break. Dont beat your self up. Self love is more important than a number on a scale!

A great Diet to follow!

Meal one!
1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal, 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

Meal two!
1 green apple, whey or pea protein shake

Meal three!
5 oz of chicken and a small salad

Meal four!
Tuna in water with low carb tortilla wrap and 1/2 cup of veggies, love the greens!

Meal five!
 Whey or Pea protein shake

Meal six!
5oz of chicken and 10 asparagus

BEDTIME :)
apple and a whey or pea protein shake!

FOR my vegan friends, all meats replace with lots of greens and load up on veggies, the more the merrier! When you work out even just a few times a week you MUST eat. OF course clean eating with healthy foods not junk food or processed foods that are going to just mess up your well working machine you got there. Think of it this way do we put dirty water in our car and think it will work right, NO way we put in clean new oil, same thing we must do to our bodys. Clean eating like I said before Is more money but its worth it when you feel great!  Give it a try!!

NOW lets talk supplements for a min
 I love now sports, not only can the average person afford it but It is a good vegan product. Now I knows lots of people reading this are not vegan however it is just as good for you. EVERYONE needs to get a multi vit . Beyond that I would figure out your fitness goals, and research products. Theres alot of great websites like bodybuilders.com that have great diet plans and work outs and supplement ideas for you. Each person has different needs and wants. I could tell you all I take and some people might model that and take the same stuff however it might not work for them as much as it does me. You must listen to your body. It tells you daily what it wants and needs.

I cant stress enough how much rest and water is KEY in losing weight. You body needs water to live and it needs rest to rebuild it. PLEASE make sure you get enough of both each day. This also helps your body naturally produce good hormones and helps you lose belly fat!!!! WATER WATER WATER!!!!!!

Progress/updates!

I am proud to announce a loss! I have lost 10 lbs and let me just say I have NO plans on finding it again. :) I am actually shocked over this new loss. I have had a lot of out side stress hitting me all at once so the fact I stayed on my A game and kept losing is a good sign. In my next blog I will be posting some tips and advice for diets also a link to a great new thing I am looking at which is body wraps. I tried one and with in 24 hrs I was down inches already which was pretty cool. I will also post some links to those! but I want to leave this blog with a funny pic and happy thoughts for all my followers! We are on this weight loss trip together WE got this!
